What I liked – I liked that Cole view spoiler [didn’t get the girl. Would you agree to be a member of this secret-poker group, Aces Up? Most of us read books to escape and Aces Up was a great escape. Not even, when you factor in the cost of the uniform I ripped.
I thought the Shannon was a perfect main character, flaws and all. Shannon’s unlikely friendship with McKenzie, the tough cookie waitress who inducts her into the casino world is an especially charming and unexpected element.
Out of ten, I give this book a 2 and I would not suggest reading it. Max has moved on with another girl and the friendship between him and Shannon is on hiatus.
It was a delightfully fun read and I wished it coud have been longer.

It is only a dress. They both are baarnholdt useless. I just kinda scowled at the last page and deleted the book off my phone.
I really enjoyed the rush of gambling at the table and hiding it from others. In Aces UpShannon Card receives an early admittance into Wellesley University, but she must come up with her tuition money seeing as her dad has lost his job. I give the dress a good yank, and it creeps up a little further over my hips.
Her boss is a tyrant, her coworker is nuts, and her laurdn of balancing a tray ace of drinks while wearing high-heeled shoes are slim to none. Maybe I just need someone to zip me up? It felt a bit too amateurish to me.
